Proverbs, Chapter 3 has one of my favorite verses, and I’m sure that is exactly how some of you feel. As I was reading through it, I just had to delve in and look at two thoughts in Proverbs 3:5-6 and 3:3.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path.
No matter what I am going through, no matter what mistakes I’ve made, I have to trust the LORD with ALL my heart – face down trust before Him. I have to live in surrender knowing He is in control of directing my path.
God’s source to teach us is the Bible. It is like a road map. We have to pull over and read it to find ourselves as well as get directions for our everyday lives.
K: Kneeling in Prayer
Lord I want to obey you. As I soak up your Word teach me how to truly trust with ALL my heart. Amen!
S: Scripture: He taught me and said, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.” Proverbs 3:3
O: Observation: I have to HOLD fast to the words of God and forget any words that the enemy speaks to me.
A: Application: I need to let His words soak in. I need to LISTEN. I need to memorize. I need to let His Word permeate my life and my home displaying His Word through plaques, etc. and talk/teach His Word just like people do sports, weather, etc..
K: Kneeling in Prayer: Father, I pray for daily wisdom as I read through your Word. I pray that your Word will grip my life and it will flow over to others.
