#write31 Days – Day 26 – Autumn A Whole Lot of Coffee and More of JESUS

26 Oct

Don’t you love waking up to that first cup of coffee, or for some of you that first cup of tea? I drink more tea in the evenings but it has to be decaf tea for me now or I won’t sleep.  Sometimes on those cool days, I just want to brew up a cup of Chai Latte after lunch.  Honestly I am a coffeeholic.

Here are some of my ideas of a perfect cup of coffee at home:

I love to add cinnamon.  I take a little 1 per cent milk, a heaping tablespoon of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp vanilla.  Love this in a cup I got at my niece’s housewarming.  Linger and sip on that very slowly.

One of my favorite Fall things is meeting up with a friend or my daughter for coffee, or going for coffee with her after a good lunch. I don’t get to do that often, but I love it. I love chatting and sharing things we’ve missed since we retired or since we last saw each other.   How about a gingerbread latte from Starbucks.  Can’t beat it especially with company like this.

I love curling up in my big comfy sofa and savoring that pumpkin spice latte or a coconut coffee, and I love slipping my fingers around that warm cup to warm my hands. Add a tablespoon of coconut oil, a bit of whip cream and maybe a bit of cinnamon.  YUM!

Fall coffee cups make it even better!!!!

And sometimes a bit of caramel with a cinnamon stick:

And one of my favorite things.  Oh my, I have so many favorite when it comes to coffee.  I love just a plain old cup of coffee with a slice of my homemade pumpkin bread.coffee - pumpkin breadA

And some mornings as I want to spend a lot of time in prayer, I go in my back den all alone with one of my Mom’s teapots and cups.  I miss my Mom!

Praying for your day be as perfect as your first cup of coffee.

SAVOR the sweetness and the warmth of this beautiful season with Jesus!

    Good morning Debbie,
I enjoy my coffee in the morning too and I always take it black. I may give whipped cream on top a go one of these days. I have never done that but it looks so good especially on a cold day. However before the month is over I will treat myself to a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks. Love your mom’s teapot and teacup in the last photo! So glad you joined me today and have a lovely day.

    Autumn blessings,
    Sandi

I’ve never really been a coffee drinker, but I can still relate to this. I probably love my diet coke as much as you love your coffee! Always fun to spend time with friends and family. I love doing that as well. My mom has been gone 15 years, but I never stop missing her! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
    hugs,
    Jann
