Other Wildflowers

Joining Kate Motaung today in Five-Minute Friday to write for five minutes.  The word today is Other.

This week I took a bluebonnet photography workshop with Jason Weingart here in Texas.  He does other workshops like chasing storms, astrophotography at Big Bend, meteor showers, tours, and other things.  Jason spends a lot of time helping beginners and advanced photographers on his tours.

I love bluebonnets and jumped on this workshop.  I’ve had a camera for years with little knowledge other than automatic.  I learned there are a whole lot of other modes when dealing with lighting and shutter speeds.

I loved, loved the bluebonnets, but there were other flowers and other photo shoots of a grape vineyard, longhorns, donkeys, ponies, horses and night shoots of a barn and church which I’ll share more later.  I need to look up the different types of flowers we saw.

In ending here is one more photo for today.

  1. Oh beautiful! I am so glad that you shared these photos with us from your class! As soon as I saw the title, I was hoping these would be the photos you promised. 🙂 What a bright spot for this gloomy cold day here. And so special since one of my best friends moved to Texas a few years ago! Blessings to you!

  2. Debbie, how fortunate for you to be able to take that class! I’ve always thought doing something like that would be pretty amazing. 🙂 And your photos . . . wow! Loved them. It sounds like you had lots of opportunities to learn more about photography. Have fun with it!
