Hello my name is Debbie.  WELCOME!  I am so glad you are here.  I love serving the Lord and I love blogging about Him.

me and mixa

I am married to my high-school sweetheart, and we will celebrate our 49th anniversary this year (2018).  It was when I met my husband in high school, and later married that God began to change my life by watching this awesome man of Godly character – servant, loving, ready to give and give and give.

We have one son, one daughter both married, five grandchildren – 4 boys and 1 girl.  I adore all eight of them, and am blessed that both girls work from home and allow me to watch the toddlers and babies a couple of days a week.  Being a Nana has been as thrilling as being a wife and mother.

God has shown us miracles – the miracle of birth.  If you haven’t experienced that, trust me for some of us, especially our family it has been hard.  We have prayed and trusted as God sent babies which were not supposed to be possible through miscarriages, fertility issues, diseases and much more.

I was one of those working moms, and now that I am retired and substitute teach, I have lots of time to spend in the Word and Bible studies. I can’t get enough.I love my King!  He is what makes me who I am.  It is my hope by reading my blog that He will help you become what you can be – to be all you can be in Him.

May you know how much He loves you.

Psalm 139:13-16 (NIV)

13 For you created my inmost being;
    you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
    when I was made in the secret place,
    when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

Blessings to you and thanks so very much for stopping by!!!!!

  1. What a great surprise to find an unexpected gift bag on my desk upon returning from hospital visits today. Thank you for your act of kindness–coffee cup, muffin and money for coffee–what a blessing. I am always encouraged by you and Mix as you are very faithful members of Hillcrest.

    1. Thank you Brother Mike. We are always encouraged by your messages each week. What a kind, compassionate pastor you are.

    1. Thanks Stephanie. I missed Declare. I was all signed up and we had a death in the family and had to go out of town on Thursday thru Saturday. I cried a lot, but I know God is in control. Hope to see you next year.

  2. Hi, I wanted to introduce myself since I also joined the “build your email list” party. I am Kathleen Rupp from Everything Karupped (diy blog). Nice to meet you! You have a great website and am looking forward to getting your emails.

  3. Hi, Debbie! Just wanted to say that I have soooo enjoyed the “Uninvited” book and Bible study. I’ve loved your notes up through chapters 4-5…I was wondering if you had the remaining chapters of the book, as well. Please feel free to email if you have a moment. Thank you! I really enjoy your blog.

  4. I can relate and identify with you. It’s wonderful to see Christians who love the Almighty God, speaking of Him, in the Internet– Such as your blog! Blessings of many more good things following your way. 🙂
