31 Days of Faith, Family, Home and Joy – Day 3 – Did Someone Say Coffee-eeee?

Coffee.  I can’t wait for my first cup of the morning, and it’s so good in the Fall and Winter.

I  get up, wash my face, make the bed and drink a big glass of water, then breakfast, and then depending on the day, it might be two cups or six cups of coffee.  If it’s cold outside well there is no telling.  I begin my Bible study about 5:45 and that’s usually with my very first cup of coffee.

I do not like coffee black, and it needs to be sweetened.  Most of the time when I can find it I buy the low-fat whip cream.  It’s really good in the coffee, but this time of the year I am shopping for creamers.  I love the Fall flavors, and at Christmas gingerbread is my favorite.

Today I had a doctor’s appointment and it was hot and muggy.  Stopped and bought this salted caramel mocha frappuccino. YUM!

Here’s a few more I’ve had the last week:

Peanut Butter Cup Flavor

Need I say more?

Salted Caramel Mocha

Pumpkin Spice

Whip Cream

Plain ole’ coffee with sweetener

Told you I love coffee.  Do you?  What’s your favorite?

The countdown has begun for the 31 day write project.  Crystal Stine is leading this years 31-days.  When I think about writing for 31 days again this year, it is a bit overwhelming and picking a subject well ….. how do I do that again?  The last three years I’ve blogged about Fall.

I love Fall, but can I really write for 31 days again about Fall?  I think NOT, but I can write about things going on right now in this season of Fall, and who can’t write about faith, family and coffee?  I’m challenging myself to write about fitness because I need to lose some pounds.

Can I keep up?  Life is crazy, busy, hectic and fun right now.  We will see on October 31.

It all starts today, Sunday, October 1.   How did that happen?  Where has 2017 gone?  I’ve chosen to use some free writes and see how much I can say about Fall, inspiration, family, home, coffee, fitness and all that is amazing in my life.  Perhaps I will even share that pumpkin bread recipe from my Mom.

On this first day I’m sharing a little about me.

  • I’m a born and raised Texan with a small 3-month stay in Oklahoma.
  • I married my high-school sweetheart and yes we’ve been together for 48 years.
  • We have two grown married children and five grandchildren ages four and under.
  • Four grandsons and one granddaughter.  Three of those babies, twin boys and a little girl were all born in March.  See why I’m busy.
  • Those babies are miracles and perhaps I’ll share some about them and how God has blessed this family through infertility, miscarriages, and so much more He has brought us through.

Loving life today and every day.  I love my family, my home, blogging, leading on-line Bible studies, substitute teaching, walking, reading, working in the yard,  tracing my family tree, and I love coffee y’all.   How about you?

If We Were Having Coffee

IMG_3832[1]If we were having coffee. we would be sitting out on my patio.  I am in Texas and it was in the low seventies today.  The sun was shining and it was like a beautiful Spring day.

If we were having coffee. we would be talking about my two grandsons who are ages one and two and all those boys are doing.  I would talk about my day with them last week on Wednesday when they were both here keeping me on my toes.

If we were having coffee. I would tell you that we met the one year and his parents and picked up my mother-in-law for a trip to the Dairy Queen for hamburgers, chicken strips, and ice cream blizzards.  The one year old is calling is PaPa, TaTa.  So as we were all getting in our cars leaving he said TaTa from his car seat and put his little hands together which means more in sign language.  The girls taught both the boys “more” and “all done” in sign language before they could talk.

If we were having coffee, I would be sharing about the current Bible Study I am in called, “Becoming More Than A Good Bible Study Girl” by Lysa Terkeurst.  It ends this week and well next week we start “I Know His Name” by Wendy Blight.

If we were having coffee. I would tell you about the weekend girl’s getaway this weekend. It’s called “His Girls Gather”.  I learned a whole lot about what I need to do to change my blog.

If we were having coffee, I would have to share all about church this morning and how missionaries from all over the world joined us today.

What would you tell me if we were having coffee?
