31 Days of Faith, Family, Home and Joy – Day 14 – Fitness Bible Verses (Free Printable)

18 Oct

12 Bible Verses

I just got back from a 45-minute walk.  With all my being I did not want to walk especially at 10:00 AM, but it was in the 40s this morning so I waited.  But you know I waited too long.  I left with a long sleeve cotton pull over on, and came back with sweat.  Of course even when it’s dark outside at 6:45 lately I’ve been coming back with sweat.  That’s a good thing.   Right?  Sweating out toxins.  This afternoon it is flip flops and short sleeves weather.  Only in Texas.

I have to be honest with you.  I am not a person that likes to exercise, but being honest again I need to take off a whole bunch of weight.  I have been carrying it way too long, and well I keep trying and failing.  You know it’s an addiction – eating and not exercising.

I don’t like to walk – because you know it’s boring, but much more exciting then getting on that treadmill.  I enjoyed some of it as a hawk kept flying over me.  I wasn’t sure if he was after me or something else, and then my next door neighbor drove by me on her bike and we chatted a bit.

Benefits of walking:

  • Hopefully losing weight, but at least maintaining.
  • Strengthening my bones and muscles.
  • Hopefully a longer life.
  • Uplifting – mood
  • It’s supposed to help blood pressure – we’ll see.

So I’ve sit down this afternoon and come up with a free printable for you and me.  Verses I can hang up and be reminded every day to be strong.

I wanted to share a few more freebies today, and I am calling them refrigerator thingys to remind you and other visiting you that God loves YOU!

That picture with that little bottle of flowers is from my daughter.  She is grown, has children, yet she still shows up with flowers often.  Love, love, love.

I keep all kinds of reminders on my refrigerator.  How about you?

Yep there are pictures of our grandkids and one of my hubby and I kissing.  There is a school calendar for me because I substitute teach.

I also keep a little pegboard in the kitchen my daughter gave me with invitations, doctor’s appointments, and sometimes little things the grandkids make or are happy about.  This is how it looks today.  It changes often.  I love this board and I love that verse on it – one of my favorites.

Enjoy these – more of my favorites.  Print them and that top one and be reminded how much He loves and cares for YOU!!!

WRITE 31 DAYS – DAY 9 – POST-IT STICKY NOTES TO SELF AND MY MAN

11 Oct

sticky-reminders-to-my-self-and-my-man

Post-it notes, or sticky notes or any kind of little notes.  I tried and tried to come up with ideas for this five-minute #write31days challenge that they entitled “Post-It”, but I can think of nothing right now other than those cute little post-it notes and sticky notes I have laying around.

Why do we love them so much?

I can still remember the first time I saw post-it notes at work.  Originally we didn’t have all these cute colors.  Honestly, I used a whole lot more of post-it notes when I worked.  I would leave them on my desk, my phone, my computer with reminders, my bulletin board, and even my purse with a list of things to pick up on the way home.  I find now that I’m retired and home I don’t use them too much, but one of my favorite things is to leave my husband post it notes so this is where I’m going with this post.

Places I leave him notes:

  • In his underwear drawer.
  • In his pick-up on the steering wheel or his sun visor.
  • On his brief case.
  • On the shower faucet.
  • On his mirror.
  • On his pillow
  • In his lunch

Things to say on your notes:

  • I have written several blog posts with free cards you can print, or you could just write the words on a sticky sort of post-it note.

  • Here are a few more ideas that you can write on a sticky:

I love spending time with you.

Thank you for being such a wonderful man of God.

I can’t wait until you get home.

Have a great day!

I’ll be missing you today.

I love YOU!

Thank YOU for all you do!
